Strippers & Gentlemen

One club. Four strippers. Countless gentlemen. STRIPPERS & GENTLEMEN follows the workers and customers of a gentlemen's club over one night, observing the continuous blurring of professional and personal relationships. An inside perspective on a once tabooed, now stereotyped subject, STRIPPERS & GENTLEMEN explores modern ideas surrounding feminine and masculine identities, raising differences in a current class system and the emergence of raunch culture. The production engages with a collaboration of styles, playing with the combined theatricality and reality of the sex industry.

Blue Bud Stage Company's third production was 'Strippers & Gentlemen', a new piece of writing by Rose Lewenstein in development for the Accidental Festival at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, which premiered 18th May 2007.
